Popularly known as "GURUJI" Adya Sarma was born in 1930 in village Khudra Makhibaha. He started the institution Sitralaya at Nalbari in 1946 with Bhuban Ch. Das. Then he has started another Art institution "Rang Ghar" at Nalbari which is known as now famous "Nalbari Art School" .Besides being an exponent of Oil painting and Sculpture he is also instrumental in designing Hari Mandir. A life long artist , Sarma is an institution himself with many of his students now excelling in Mumbai , J.J .School of Arts and Viswa Bharati .
Rather than being in the glare of media , Sarma prefers to live in his own world of colours and creations. His sustenance and inspirations have been his paintings and sculptors , leading all alone the life aesthetics - something never to be found in any one exccept some one who is so much devoted to arts like him.

The world needs to recognize this humble devotee of art of " Sankardev Arun Natya Gosthi" . Who encouraged him to join to Nataraj Opera after being associated with several other theatre groups like "Basudev Opera", "Rupjyoti" , Purbajyoti", "Nat Bani Natya Samaj", he created a new own Natya dal(Theatre party) with Rs. 100 as Principal. Ultimately he started Theatre Bhagyadevi in the year 1968 which ushered in the mobile theatre movement in Nalbari District. At present there are five(5) active mobile theatres in Nalbari District . In fact these mobile theatres are now part and parcel of cultural life of Nalbari.
Sarat Mazumdar : He was born in 1935 Sak at Marowa Village , Nalbari. At an early age and regaled his friends with various tricks. He then worked as a tailor under Bhjabit Baisya which proved to be a turning point in his life .He came in contact with Arun Baisya.
